Lily Bouvier (she/her) is a video editor and filmmaker based in Austin, Texas.
Her recent editing work includes episodes of Seasons 12 & 13 of Austin Film Festival’s On Story TV show, a 30-minute program which broadcasts on PBS stations nationwide, as well as short horror film Nonno, which premiered at Austin Film Festival in 2022 and played at the Academy Award- qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in 2023.
Originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts, Lily studied at Smith College in Western Mass, where she earned a B.A. in Latin American Studies and Spanish Language. She worked as a newspaper reporter, a vegetable farmer, and a bike courier before she began working at Cambridge Community Television in 2015 and was introduced to the world of film and video production.
In 2017, she moved to Austin and spent a year working as a Post Production Intern for the Austin Film Society, where she developed her editing skills through cutting film trailers for the AFS Cinema. She has continued her film production training through courses at School of Motion, Austin Public, and the Austin School of Film.
Since 2019, Lily has worked as a freelance video editor in collaboration with local studios, community-based organizations, and fellow creatives.
Lily’s documentary short Ephemera screened at the 2017 Massachusetts Independent Film Festival in Cambridge, MA and the 2019 Cinema Systers Film Festival in Paducah, KY. Her film trailers have played at the Austin Film Festival and the AFS Cinema in Austin, TX.
